La escuela taller Villa del Rosario en Colombia ha llevado a cabo una iniciativa, Cocinando Paz, que ha permitido formar a medio centenar de alumnado en situación de vulnerabilidad, en uno de los municipios colombianos que presenta grandes flujos de movimientos migratorios
El proyecto COCINANDO PAZ dentro del Programa Nacional de Escuelas Taller (PNET) de Colombia, desarrollado en Villa del Rosario desde octubre de 2021 hasta final de 2022, formó en cocina tradicional y creativa a una cincuentena jóvenes en situación de vulnerabilidad. Al tiempo esta iniciativa ha impulsado el desarrollo de emprendimientos.
La Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID) ha apoyado al Programa de Escuelas Taller colombiano desde su puesta en marcha por parte del Ministerio de Cultura, y además impulsa de forma específica a la Escuela de Villa del Rosario. Este municipio, al norte de Santander, es una localidad fronteriza con Venezuela que presenta fuertes flujos de población en situación de movilidad humana en los últimos años. Las personas participantes en el proyecto Cocinando Paz forman parte de grupos sociales en riesgo de exclusión, entre los que se encuentran jóvenes sin posibilidad de acceso a la formación reglada, población venezolana migrante y población colombiana de las comunidades de acogida, víctimas del conflicto armado, madres o padres cabeza de familia con pocos recursos, etc. Al final del período formativo se pusieron en marcha 43 emprendimientos, mientras que cinco de los participantes accedieron a empleos por cuenta ajena.
